Event Photography at the Launch of the Centre for Green Technology

As a professional event photographer in Peterborough, I’m lucky to capture moments that matter—and the official launch of the Centre for Green Technology at Peterborough College was one of those truly meaningful days.
This inspiring event brought together students, staff, and special guests to celebrate a bold step toward a more sustainable future in education. From an event photography perspective, it was a joy to document: real moments, genuine reactions, and a clear sense of purpose. My approach is always to tell the story of the day—capturing natural, unscripted images that reflect the energy and atmosphere of the event.
The launch was attended by several high-profile guests, including Baroness Taylor of Stevenage, Peter Kyle MP (Shadow Secretary of State for Science & Technology), and Cllr Anna Smith, Deputy Mayor of the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority. Also present were Andrew Pakes, Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Peterborough, and Louise Perry, CFO of Inspire Education Group. Their presence underlined the importance of this development—not just for the college, but for the city and region.
Guests toured the new centre, which focuses on green technologies like solar power, air-source heat pumps, EV infrastructure, and sustainable construction. It’s exactly the kind of future-forward thinking I support—not just professionally, but personally.
At my own Peterborough photography studio, we’ve embraced sustainable energy too. My office runs on solar panels, supported by a heat pump system and battery storage, making it a genuinely green workspace. As a photographer and a parent, I care deeply about reducing our environmental impact—and I love working with organisations who share that vision.
If you’re planning an event and looking for an experienced, reliable, and eco-conscious Peterborough event photographer, I’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s a launch, conference, award ceremony, or educational showcase, I’ll help you capture it beautifully and naturally—while keeping things green.
