On Tuesday morning I got a request about commercial portrait photography. The person on the phone told me that he will wear a fireman uniform. I never photographed a firemen before so I was really excited. Commercial portrait photo shoot is always different. Every time you try to capture not only the smart look of your model but also a personality. This is a tricky bit.

Fun school photography – first photoshoot in the studio
All done and set up in our new photo studio. We were very pleased with the outcome. It was time to test the lighting. It was Sunday when we invited the first model to studio. It was our 7 years old son who don’t mind camera at all. We decided to photograph agains white background. I used one of my favourites lenses – Canon 24-70 f/2.8L. I love the focal range – it gives you flexibility and its a great portrait lens for studio photo shoots.

New Photography Studio in Peterborough
After nearly 4 years of working as a professional photographer from small home office I decided to take a next step – a proper photo studio. Place where I can meet clients and do family photo shoots. I started to look for a suitable please. One day I came across an office for rent at Broadway street in Peterborough city centre. The place was big enough for photo studio. Localisation was really good too. Only problem was that the place looked an old school and required a bit of work.
