All done and set up in our new photo studio. We were very pleased with the outcome. It was time to test the lighting. It was Sunday when we invited the first model to studio. It was our 7 years old son who don’t mind camera at all. We decided to photograph agains white background. I used one of my favourites lenses – Canon 24-70 f/2.8L. I love the focal range – it gives you flexibility and its a great portrait lens for studio photo shoots.
After photographing our favourite model on the plain white background I changed studio lighting so the background got less light. This trick let me make the white background looking grey. We asked our son to wear his school uniform and we took a few school photos. We were ready to go and offer a portrait photoshoot and school photography. After publishing few photos on social media we got many requests for school photos. Yes we charge a bit more for school photography than you would pay at school but offer different experience. You can see and choose your photos. You get more than one and if you like we can air brush it but children don’t need it as much so the basic editing is ok.
